Signing up to spend the weekend with a bunch of people I had never met before made my anxiety sky rocket. When I parked, got out of my car, and walked into the lodge for the first time, I had an overwhelming sense of dread. "What am I doing?" "How am I going to spend four days with a bunch of strangers?" I took my time unpacking and joined the others in the common area for dinner. I began talking with like minded people and my anxiety began to fade. By the time I went to bed, I knew I was meant to be at that particular retreat. By lunch time on Friday, I was excited to learn more and collaborate with other women in my field. Amy, Dianna, and all of the other instructors provided learning opportunities that you don't get at your typical conference. When I left Tennessee to drive home to South Carolina, I felt a sense of renewal. I was ready to take what I learned and pass it on to others. I also learned that I am ready to step up and help shape our field by "teaching" others. Master ABA has become a staple of my career, and I am forever grateful to its creators for providing me with "out of the box" experiences.

Great value comes from having genuine connection and relationship with others in the field who share similar values while having different backgrounds. I am hoping a cohort of colleagues outside of day-to-day interactions will be something gained from this time.

The Connect, Create, & Conquer Retreat was a total game-changer for my career as a BCBA®. The content was mind-blowing, offering practical tips to align my business with my core values and give me the freedom I've always wanted. I'm not just a practitioner; I'm a force for positive change in the field. The retreat was a life-changing experience that ignited both my personal practice and my everyday work. I'm inspired to break new ground and create exceptional value that will benefit the entire ABA community. I made connections with other BCBAs®, both near and far, building a network of supportive mentors and collaborators. The retreat's intimate atmosphere fostered genuine relationships, allowing us to be ourselves and focus on the heart of our work. The activities were fresh and exciting, sparking creative ideas and thought-provoking conversations. This hands-on approach ensured the content stuck with me and was easy to put into action. The retreat exceeded my expectations in every way. The knowledge shared was inspiring, practical, and immediately useful. I highly recommend working with Master ABA and attending their retreat to anyone seeking professional growth, personal fulfillment, and a lasting impact on their field.
I was initially hesitant to attend the BCBA® retreat as I have a hard time meeting new people and taking time away from my family. However, I'm so glad I did! The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming and supportive. Everyone was so friendly and open, and I felt comfortable sharing my experiences and learning from others. It was the perfect opportunity to network and make new connections in a relaxed and enjoyable setting. The activities and workshops were also a lot of fun and helped me to step outside of my comfort zone. I came off of the retreat with new motivation. I'm so grateful for the positive experience and the lasting friendships I've made.
This retreat was so inspiring. Amelia and Dianna kept the momentum flowing and provided an amazing framework to create and build my own business and products. In addition, the opportunity to meet and collaborate with other BCBAs® who have similar values and goals was inspiring and reignited my passion for this field. I encourage anyone who is thinking about developing their own product or independent business to attend the retreat!
